Make3D is a website that allows you to make your photos into 3D models! It's really neat. Though it's not perfect (nothing is), it's still neat to play around with. The site does require you to register to make your own, but to look at what other people have made doesn't require anything. But, everything's free!
Here's an example of what someone did to their photo.
CosmoLearning is a free, educational, online school website committed to improve the quality of teaching and student excellence, helping educators and self-learners alike anywhere in the world! It's great for homework help and learning in general!
The website, "Unrelated Captions" is dedicated to pictures that have captions with little to no relation with the picture in question. Their slogan is appropriate: "Accidentally hilarious."
This chair, created by Japanese "interactive designer" Tomomi Sayuda, automatically photocopies your butt when you sit on it.
"This project came from "impact" brief. My initial concern was the news about a naked British streaker who jumped into the Japanese Emperor's palace moat. I was interested in the principle of the news, which is showing embarrassment without big harm for fun. For me, impact means positive and humorous reaction. I decided how to represent this principle. This idea development took the longest time of my four projects. I was brainstorming in many ways with some practical developments since October 2008. Finally I came up with the idea of scanning people's bum."
This is a site that I've gone to for years. It's called Drawball. It's "an enormous circle of potential art" that anyone can draw on! You get a limited amount of ink, but then when you spend time away from drawing you slowly get more.
Sometimes, when you zoom in enough, you can see great works of art, such as the Mona Lisa and some celebrities. In fact, some people join together and create large pieces over the whole ball! It's creativity at its finest!
Folded paper art. Not origami, but actual folds in paper! German artist and sculptor Simon Schubert uses paper creases and folds to create incredible works of art.
I'm sure that they had to be very careful if they had to scan these online...
These amazing works of art, which have fooled many, were created by John Pugh, who specialises in trompe l'oeil - or 'trick of the eye' - art. He uses his skills to delude the viewer into seeing 3D scenes painted on flat surfaces.
The Californian-born artist said: "It seems almost universal that people take delight in being visually tricked."
His works can been seen all over the world, including in the artist's home state. Click the link below to look at a collection!
Pictogame is a website where you can make your own flash games, no programming or software needed!! The one above is a race on a track that I built myself. Makes me feel important.
